Rap Lyrics Translated for White People: Volume 6

It’s time for another version of the LWB staple, Rap Lyrics Translated for White People! Recently, other sites have tried to duplicate this feature but they have failed to match the quality that a fairly unknown, sparsely updated blog focused on men’s lifestyle, can provide. I won’t link to those lame sites here since I don’t want to give them free publicity. But in the words of Jay-Z, whose lyrics are translated in this post, “for playin’ me, y’all shall ever remain nameless.”

Check out translated songs from Ludacris, Jay-Z, Three Six Mafia, Foxy Brown and Flo Rida below… (more…)

If you are a fan of rap music, than you probably have heard by now that rapper/singer Nate Dogg—who had a number of hits in the 90’s—passed away recently due to a series of strokes.  I listened to Nate Dogg a lot growing up and was sad to hear of his passing. So I decided to honor Nate Dogg the only way I know how…

Worst to First: Tupac Shakur

Tupac-Shakur-I’ve decided to start a new feature here at Living with Balls. It will be called from Worst to First. In this feature, I will take a legendary musician(s) who has released several records and rank their worst album all the way to their best album. This will primarily be rap music but I will try and keep it diverse for the sake of my readers. Hopefully the column will spark some debate in the comment section.

The first person featured will be my all-time favorite rapper: Tupac Shakur. He’s had a lot of albums released, both dead and alive. So let’s get started. (more…)

Invention is the Mother of Necessity

Virtuvius_Leonardi Da VinciYes you read that title right. There’s an old saying that says “necessity is the mother of invention.” Well…I think it should be the other way around. Invention is really the mother of necessity. You don’t realize how much you need something until you have it. I realized recently that if certain gadgets were removed from my life, I’d have a very difficult time adjusting even though there was point in my life when they weren’t around. Therefore, I have compiled a list of items that were once considered luxuries that have now become necessities. (more…)
