In lieu of a normal post this week, check out this amazing video clip called “Bricks of War.” If you’ve ever played Gears of War, you’ll love this. It’s a stop-motion animation of Gears of War 3 using nothing but Legos.
Vick played so well that it reminded me of his video game counterpart in the 2004 version of Madden. Anyone who grew up playing Madden knows the version I’m talking about. Vick fittingly graced the cover of that year’s edition and he was pretty much unstoppable.
This got me thinking: Who is the greatest football video game athlete of all-time?
When having this debate, there are really only two people who can be in the discussion: Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson and the Madden 2004 version of Michael Vick.
I will objectively break down each player in the latest edition of “The Great Debate.” After reading my arguments for both, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment section. (more…)
The clip below has been making the rounds on the internet this past week. In a game of Madden NFL 11, Greg Jennings of the Green Bay Packers scores a 99-yard TD with a broken leg. That’s absurd in its own right…but the narrating from the guy playing is hysterical. I’ve watched this clip a number of times and I still laugh at it. If you’re at work keep the volume low, since there are number of curses.
The most anticipated game of the year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released on November 10. The first modern warfare was a classic game and the new one is setting up to be one of the best selling games of all-time. But is it worth the hype? Read some of the reviews before you purchase the game. (more…)
DJ Hero, the latest music video game to be released from Activision, hit store shelves on Tuesday. I’ve always been a fan of the Rock Band/ Guitar Hero games but with dozens of different versions released, the franchise really got old quickly.
However DJ Hero gives the Guitar Hero franchise a fresh look. I’ve always been more into rap and dance music so I’ve been waiting for something like this to come out.
Take a look at a few video reviews. The game looks great but I don’t know if I can justify spending $120 bucks for one game. If it comes down in price, however, I will definitely be buying it. (more…)
To the delight of gamers everywhere, Halo 3: ODST was released yesterday. I was a big fan of Halo 3 so I definitely plan on getting ODST. However, just to do my due diligence, I decided to check out some of the reviews. After checking out the reviews, I am sold. (more…)
I recently purchased Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the Xbox 360 on an impulse buy when I was bored one day. Usually an impulse purchase will result in buyer’s remorse. This was not one of those times. There are plenty of great features that make this game worth the purchase. (more…)
I made an important, life changing decision the other day. For the first time since probably 1996 I will not be buying Madden. Madden NFL 10 is set for release on August 14 and I will not be making a trip to Gamestop or pre-ordering it on Amazon anytime soon. This wasn’t a decision I made lightly but I decided it had to be done. The reason for this: online play has ruined Madden for me. (more…)
I don’t own a Wii but I had the opportunity to play Wii Sports Resort for a few hours the other day. This game is a must own for anyone who has a Wii. If you don’t have a Wii, this may be the game that pushes you to buy it. Here are a few reasons why: (more…)
